LCI Melbourne Announces Creative Higher Education Partnership with Preshil
LCI Melbourne is pleased to announce a formal partnership with Preshil, The Margaret Lyttle Memorial School, positioning LCI Melbourne as Preshil's official Creative Higher Education Partner.

The partnership, formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding signed by both institutions in March 2026, establishes a framework for collaboration across three interconnected areas: people, practice, and promotion.
Under the agreement, LCI Melbourne academic mentors will contribute to Preshil's learning community as studio practitioners — supporting staff professional development, contributing to vertical elective programs for Years 9–10, and working alongside Preshil educators within aspects of VCE delivery. Curriculum authority, assessment, and reporting remain entirely the responsibility of Preshil.
Students from Preshil will gain access to LCI Melbourne's Collingwood campus and its signature industry-facing events — including the annual Graduate Exhibition, the Graduate Runway presented as part of PayPal Melbourne Fashion Festival's Independent Programme, and Melbourne Design Week activations. These experiences are designed to broaden students' exposure to contemporary creative practice and support informed post-school pathway decision-making.
The partnership takes on additional significance considering Preshil will open a new Senior Studio campus for Years 9-12 at Lincoln Square, Carlton, in 2028, located just blocks from LCI Melbourne's Collingwood campus. The proximity of the two institutions creates a natural creative precinct, with genuine opportunity for cross-sector connection between secondary and higher education communities.
Adriano Di Prato, Campus Director at LCI Melbourne, said: "This partnership reflects everything we believe about creative education — that it flourishes when it's connected to real places, real practices, and real communities. We can't wait to see what we build together with Preshil."
Aaron Mackinnon, Principal of Preshil, said "We’re really excited to formalise our partnership with LCI Melbourne. It opens fantastic opportunities for our students to connect with real-world creative practice and explore pathways that align with their interests and ambitions. From 2028, being neighbours in Carlton will make these connections even more powerful.”
The MoU will operate for an initial term of three years, subject to annual review, with specific initiatives governed by separate written agreements as they are developed.
