A new chapter for our creative community — connecting graduates, current students, and the next generation of artists, designers, and innovators.
At LCI Melbourne, graduation has never felt like an ending. Walk through our studios on any given week and you'll meet alumni returning as guest critics, industry mentors, exhibition collaborators, and creative partners — proof that the bonds formed here outlast the final assessment by years, sometimes decades.
This year, we're giving that quiet truth a formal home.
We're proud to launch the LCI Melbourne Alumni Network — a structured, lifelong community for every graduate of LCI Melbourne and the Academy of Design. Whether you completed your studies last summer or two decades ago, you remain part of our creative continuum.
The Alumni Network reframes the student journey as a continuum — from Admissions to Alumni — and recognises our graduates as active contributors to the learning ecosystem they helped shape. It's anchored in three commitments:
- Connection through reunions, networking events, and integration into our annual calendar, including the Season of Excellence, Melbourne Design Week, and the Industry Breakfast Series.
- Contribution through the Alumni Ambassadors Program, where graduates mentor current students, sit on industry panels, and share their professional journeys.
- Continuity through pathways back into learning — short courses, micro-credentials, and postgraduate offerings designed for working creatives.
At the heart of the Network sits Creative Continuum — our new quarterly digital publication, arriving in March, June, September, and December.
Each edition will spotlight graduate stories, exhibitions, industry partnerships, and opportunities — a window into where an LCI Melbourne education leads, and a meeting place for a community spread across studios, agencies, galleries, and businesses around the world.
For prospective students, Creative Continuum offers something rare: an honest, ongoing record of what becomes possible after graduation. For alumni, it's an invitation to stay close, share work, and remain visible to the community that helped shape your practice.
