Participants will choose a Fast Moving Consumer Good product that typically mimics another in packaging. Their task will be to redesign the packaging so that it stands out on the shelf while still appealing to the target market. They will consider factors like colour schemes, typography, imagery, and overall brand identity in their redesigns.

Students have the opportunity to observe a catwalk show, before creating their own runway ready extravaganza of an outfit, suitable for the Met Gala, on full-size cutouts.

This workshop offers a hands-on, immersive introduction to the world of film and photography. Students will explore some background and the fundamentals of visual storytelling, including composition, lighting, and narrative techniques, through a series of engaging mini projects. By the end, students will have created a short visual storyboard, blending ideas of film and photography, showcasing their skills.

Students will begin by creating a character through developing a back story, environment, costume, situation and supporting characters, before exploring how various AI models can generate characters based on sketches and generative art.

Explore how to develop science fiction and fantasy illustrations based on scenes, characters and styles. Using a combination of text and image prompting, learn how to develop sophisticated AI illustrations for use in posters, comics, books, zines, and social media.

Students will use Adobe’s Dimension and Illustrator programs to create various 3D objects and apply different surfaces, textures and graphic elements, before taking our 3D objects and placing them in virtual spaces using Adobe Aero. No previous experience required.

Participants will explore the concepts of visual storytelling and the importance of flat-lays in interior design. By the end of the session, students will create their own material flat-lay and draft a brief concept statement outlining their design vision and aesthetic intentions. This experience offers a practical insight into the world of interior design while allowing students to explore beautiful materiality and develop their creative skills.

This workshop offers students a practical introduction to project management by having them plan and execute a small, tangible project: organising a mini event. The activity will guide them through key project management stages, emphasising planning, task delegation, and execution within a set timeframe.

Participants will engage in a visual response to a text prompt, drawing inspiration from Albrecht Dürer’s Rhinoceros or more contemporary, emulating AI-generated imagery. This activity allows for unique, individual interpretations, supporting diverse approaches and personal expression, before breaking into groups to contribute to a larger collective artwork.
