Gig Poster Designer for a Day
- January 20, 2026
- 9:30 AMto 11:30 AM
- 150 Oxford Street, Collingwood, 3066
In this hands-on, supportive workshop, students will hear from the team at Rock Posters, one of Australia’s leading gig poster and print studios known for working with major artists, brands and festivals. They’ll learn what Rock Posters does, how artists and brands work with studios like theirs, how briefs and production work, and what designers need to know about sizing, bleed, file types and common pitfalls.
Students will then design their own gig poster with guidance from LCI Melbourne’s graphic design mentors, gaining real insight into both the creative and technical sides of professional design. This workshop is perfect for high school students curious about graphic design, music and creative careers. Students will need to bring their own device with Canva or Adobe Photoshop installed.
