On September 23rd and 26th, you have the chance to participate in an interactive session aimed at helping you finesse your folio. Our mentors, Todd Anthony and Dean Golja, will set you up with the principles to present your work in a way that best reflects you.
Start with a practical exercise to explore your creative identity and then learn how to reflect this in your portfolio. Following this, develop your technical ability by shooting different mediums and translating them to a 2D document.
All dates and times will include curation and capture sessions, please register your attendance for whichever suits you best.
We will provide the works for you to shoot in the session. Please do not bring your portfolio with you, if you would like to book in for your creative interview get in touch with us here.
This event is not intended to provide you with a formula for your folio, it is a suggested approach from design experts about how you can curate and capture your work effectively.
Meet the Hosts
Todd Anthony
Holding a unique combination of academic and industry practices, Todd’s career started as a Costume Designer and Production Manager across the U.S.A, Europe, Asia and Africa.
With full media accreditation, Todd has also covered all Australian fashion festivals since 2013 and Milan Fashion Week, Paris Fashion Week, London Fashion Week and Madrid Fashion Week.
Alongside his role at LCI Melbourne, Todd is a freelance creative director, fashion writer and event manager, who has worked with numerous local and international clients across multiple industry practices and procedures.
Dean Golja
Dean is a Melbourne based photographer and video artist whose work is displayed in many public exhibitions in Melbourne and Europe.
Holding a Master of Electronic Arts, Dean has taught several organisations and currently teaches classes in Media Arts and Theory. His work has featured in a host of Australia’s most prestigious photography awards including the Bowness & Josephine Ulrike.
Outside of LCI, Dean works on self-initiated projects and continues to develop his passion for all forms of photography.
