The sold-out event drew over 200 guests to LCI Melbourne’s Collingwood campus, which was transformed into a vibrant celebration of queer art, performance, and radical storytelling. The evening featured powerful live performances from DJ Gay Dad, singer-songwriter Kira Puru, and saxophonist Bruno Salsicce, alongside immersive installations that showcased the essence of Archer’s mission: to platform sexuality, gender, and identity through creative expression.

Attendees moved through multi-sensory installations across the Gallery, Agora, and Cyclorama spaces, while enjoying music, connection, and moments of profound visibility. The launch of Archer Studio marked an exciting evolution for the team behind the award-winning publication—furthering its commitment to sharing stories from the margins.

LCI Melbourne was proud to partner closely with Archer to bring the event to life as part of its ongoing commitment to inclusion and community-led creative exchange.

“LCI Melbourne exists to amplify creativity in all its forms—and that includes championing stories from the edges,” said Adriano Di Prato, Campus Director at LCI Melbourne. “To host Archer Magazine—a publication that fearlessly uplifts queer voices and challenges normative narratives—was both a privilege and a powerful reminder that inclusion is not performative; it’s foundational to the creative future we’re shaping.”

The event also offered an opportunity for student engagement, with LCI’s Student Experience and Marketing teams supporting communication around ticketing, setup, and promotion.

Archer Magazine, published biannually in Melbourne, is recognised nationally and internationally for its commitment to authentic storytelling across intersections of gender, sexuality, and identity. The launch of Issue #21: The ART Issue continues its tradition of bold, community-driven editorial that speaks directly to and from the margins.
