LCI Melbourne Joins FRM & David Bromley to Celebrate 30 Years of Faces, Fashion and Form

As part of the PayPal Melbourne Fashion Festival’s 2026 Independent Programme, an extraordinary collaboration is set to take centre stage with ‘30 Years Bromley x FRM: A Celebration of Faces, Fashion and Human Form’, a landmark exhibition that honours the artistry, beauty and history of Australian fashion and portraiture.

To mark three decades of FRM Model Management and the enduring creative legacy of iconic Australian artist David Bromley, this vibrant event will feature 30 new original paintings of FRM’s most celebrated faces, alongside a selection of prints available for purchase. The exhibition will be brought to life with live painting by Bromley himself, accompanied by FRM models as muses, all immersed in an atmosphere of live music, drinks, and fashion.

LCI Melbourne is proud to be a featured contributor, with recent graduates and current Fashion & Costume Design students showcasing bold and visionary garments in a curated fashion show that complements Bromley’s evocative portraits. The synergy between art, fashion, and emerging talent underlines the deeper story this event tells — one of transformation, identity, and beauty through time. The collaboration reflects LCI Melbourne’s commitment to industry-embedded education, where learning extends beyond the studio and into real-world cultural platforms.

Adding another dynamic layer to this collaboration, LaSalle College Vancouver has created a bespoke soundscape for the event. The result is an exceptional fusion of sound engineering and audio design that elevates both the exhibition and runway experience. This cross-disciplinary, cross-campus collaboration underscores the strength of the LCI global network and reflects a creative partnership that continues to grow across borders.

“This collaboration with LCI Education is a perfect alignment of values,” said Stephen Bucknall, Managing Director at FRM Model Management. “As we celebrate 30 years of FRM, it felt fitting to include the next generation of fashion creatives who represent the future of our industry. LCI Melbourne students bring fresh perspectives and a fearless sense of style, exactly what this moment calls for.”

“We are honoured to be part of this milestone exhibition,” said Darran Arabin-Gander, Head of Fashion at LCI Melbourne. “David Bromley’s work has long explored the human form with tenderness and power, and to see our students’ designs alongside his latest portraits is an incredible celebration of expression. We congratulate FRM on their 30th anniversary, their impact on Australian fashion is immeasurable.”

Taking place at Bromley Studio in Windsor, this event is now sold out. Audiences can expect a truly immersive evening that brings together three creative forces, Bromley, FRM, and LCI Melbourne — in a dazzling tribute to the past, present, and future of Australian fashion and art.
