Launching today, three new Short Courses — one from each of LCI Melbourne’s Faculties — will offer fast, focused learning that’s practical, industry-aligned, and deeply human:
- Future Fashion: Design & Garment Making (Faculty of Fashion)
- Green Spaces: Interior Design for a Sustainable Future (Faculty of Art, Design & Communication)
- Money Smarts: Finance Fundamentals for Creatives (Faculty of Business & Management)
Each Short Course runs over six weeks (36 contact hours) and is made up of three microcredential modules that guide learners from foundational skills to real-world application. These project-based experiences are designed to build confidence, capability, and creative momentum.
In a first for LCI Melbourne, successful completion of a Short Course also earns 10 credit points through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) — giving learners a head start on one of the institute’s accredited undergraduate degrees.
“Our new Short Courses are a direct response to the changing needs of learners today,” says Adriano Di Prato, Campus Director at LCI Melbourne.
“They’re agile, practical, and designed to help people turn creative curiosity into capability — and capability into opportunity. This is more than just upskilling. It’s about unlocking potential through meaningful learning experiences that are different by design.”
Designed for working professionals looking to upskill or pivot, mature learners seeking purpose-driven creative reengagement, passionate beginners exploring their potential, and even senior secondary students curious about the creative industries — our Short Courses are intentionally crafted to meet a broad spectrum of learner needs.
Applications are now open. Whether you're ready to level up or just getting started, our Short Courses are designed to meet you where you are and move you forward.
