EMERGE Exhibition

Originally commissioned for the 2024 Pingyao International Photography Festival , EMERGE showcases the compelling work of Dean Golja, academic mentor at LCI Melbourne. Through a series of intimate portraits, the exhibition captures ten visual art students in a symbolic state of becoming — each image a quiet meditation on identity, imagination, and the evolving nature of creativity.

This exhibition invites viewers to reflect on the artistic journey and the moments that shape emerging creators. It’s a space where self-discovery meets visual storytelling, and where the future of art and design begins to take form.

In addition to Golja’s work, the exhibition features pieces by finalists from the 2025 Emerge: Future Creators Art & Design Competition , offering a glimpse into the next wave of talent from LCI Melbourne.
